Dream House
Well, I came across this beauty about two years ago and finally got back to take pictures of it. They've fixed it up quite a bit, but my guess is that it was built maybe in the early 1900's. I LOVE old houses.
The main part of the house branches off into this separate wing (above), and I just think its so unique! I like to think it was the maid quarters or something back in the day. (like I said, they've fixed it up a lot since I last saw it)
I dream of having my art room in this section.
I hate to put pressure on Tom, but I'm an artist and artists flock towards pretty things ;)
*Isn't it gorgeous?*

Success!
I announced just yesterday that we bought Mae her very own throne (potty, that is). Well, get ready for it. Here comes an official MBM (Mommy Bragging Moment)
Mae went to the bathroom on it THREE times yesterday, and ONCE this morning. I am so proud :)
I just hope it keeps up!
Leslie: I'm not ready for Mae to be a big girl yet, but she seems to be in a hurry. hee hee
Aubrey: There are no poo poo treats in the Johnson house. The true reward for going potty is a big "Horray!" from mommy complete with a round of applause, and the sense of accomplishment.

P.S. all of your comments were so silly. Thanks for the advice!

Let the adventures....BEGIN!
Mae has been showing a lot of interest in the toilet for quite some time. She likes to "help" mommy {hee hee}, she loves to put toilet paper (unused, of course) in and flush it, and when we put her on it, she says "potty!" over and over and then goes through the motions of wiping and flushing. Its seriously cute.
So I decided it was time to get her her very own potty. This throne actually plays magical tunes when it senses your child did their business! She was quite excited. So excited, in fact, that while we were setting it up, she pooped right next to it on the floor. *sigh*
Anyways, my goal is to have her potty trained by the time she is two! That gives me five months.
Oh my gosh...I can't believe she's growing up so fast. Stop it Mae! Stay little...

My Bro is Famous
Hey everyone! My big bro has been featured on Reel Connect as their featured film maker!
Take a look at his profile. {Oh, I have to add this in: I'm in his film "The Awesome Robots", and I'm a phenomenal actress. Just kidding. I actually suck. I also did the illustrations for the credits on the "The Awesome Robots" and "I Hate Death". Okay, bragging moment...DONE!}

You have entered...the Twilight Zone...
I started "Eclipse" a couple of days ago and finished it tonight. There are some good things about this (maybe I'll actually get some stuff done, become productive again, and get to bed at a good time, instead of reading 24/7) but bad things too: I'm already going through withdrawals. What am I going to do with my LIFE! Whats going to happen next!? Poor Jacob! I mean, I'm glad Bella chose Edward. They're soul mates, HELLO! But poor, poor Jacob. And DAMN you, Stephanie Meyers for writing such good material. Its been a long time since I've read a book where I've grown to care so deeply about the characters. During "New Moon" I was so sad the entire time that Edward wasn't around. I felt like my own heart was broken. So silly! Ah, but so true. I love books like that.
So...does anyone know when the next one is coming out? Tomorrow? Tonight? Five minutes? *sigh*

I just went to a hip hop class with my pal, Shelbi. I sucked...but it was fun. WAY fun. Its nice to do something that is not a normal part or my same old daily routine.

Started "Eclipse"...*sigh*...I love it.
Anywhoodles, I stated about a week ago that I wasn't going to eat any sweets until mid July. I have done REALLY well. I've had a couple nibbles here and there, but for me (someone who craves chocolate and desserts 24/7 and actually gives into those cravings) that's pretty dang amazing. It feels good to have control over something in life, even if its a small bad habit. Its nice to know that we have the power to edit our lives however we wish. We can get rid of the bad and bring in the good. its just all up to us.
I've started getting up early again to work out, and I love that too. I'm not a morning person, but for some reason, once I get into the routine, it makes my day that much better.
Okay....done. May I also add one more thing? Have you noticed that I do this "......" alot? I believe its been passed down, in the genes. My dad does it. A LOT. Thanks Wally. Not only do I have your sense of humor, your knack for inappropriate jokes, and your bodily functions, but I also have inherited "your dot dot dot" after every stinkin' word. I'm so proud :) Love you

Cameron Wedding
About two weekends ago I had the privilege of tagging along with my aunt and her cute daughter, Wren to a wedding in Idaho. These are my final photos from the Cameron Wedding.
{We also shot some engagements while we were there for another couple. I'll post those later}
Thanks, Julie, for letting me tag along, for feeding me, and for answering my endless questions!

Obsessed
Crap. I've been sucked into the Twilight World. I just started the second book yesterday. I'm already halfway done. You guys were right. It does get better. A LOT better.

a little help from my friends
Wow, the post I got the most comments on EVER was my post on Twilight. Obsess much, girls? :)
Okay...a couple of things. Mae is getting...um..whats the word? Lets just say she is getting a case of the "terrible twos" a little early. I love her, and her sassy/silly personality. But today I had to put her in time out 5 times. And she has run out into the street twice now. I'm grateful there were no cars, or my little girl would not be here anymore. But seriously. I say NO like 800 times a day. I feel so bad, because I don't want her to think thats all mommy says. Any good parenting advice? Any good books I should read? Help? Please?
Next: I want to hear everyones budgeting/money strategies. What do you do to keep from spending too much? How do you budget your money so that its easy and everything gets taken care of? I do our budget, and I feel like its too complicated. So if anyone is willing to dish out some advice, please do. For we are about to become even poorer than we are now, which I thought was impossible.
Last: I love you guys. Seriously.

Its Official
I am officially a member of the "I am addicted to Twilight" club. I just barely started it yesterday, and I only have about 100 pages left to go. Almost done. Now I know what everyone was raving about. SOOOO good, and I can hardly wait to start the second one! I LOVE good books. There is nothing like reading a book so addicting that you can't bring yourself to put it down.
Another series like this? Fablehaven. Just finished the first three books within two weeks. Good stuff.

My little model
Mae was in a photo shoot for a new children's clothing line by Mika Rose. My aunt, Julie Parker did the photography.
To see my beautiful little Mae, look here.
(A little side note: if you go to Mika Rose's sight, the beautiful blond on the front page is Tom's cousin AND was my little camper at Brighton Girls Camp before Tom and I even started dating.)

Creativity and Sweets
Here are a few things I'll be selling at the Relay for Life tonight:
Breast cancer themed cards, by :me:

Oh yah. I'm also swearing off my biggest weakness for a month: sweets. Why, do you ask? Because my anniversary is in a month and I want to look smokin' hot for my man! So hold me to you it you guys. I need as much encouragement as I can get because...I'm afraid I can't do it!

"I forgot my glasses!"
I hung out with Eliser the other night, and I told her on her next date she needs to tell the guy she forgot her glasses and watch the entire movie like this:
We then went on to narrate how the date would go with questions like "Can you please pass the popcorn?" and turning around and yelling "stop kicking my chair!" all while holding your eyes wide open like this. It was really funny. I promise.

St. George
In May, my family took a long overdue vacation to St. George. We rented an awesome house with a beautiful golf course right in the backyard. There was a swimming pool and a tiny little putting course and plenty of room for everyone! It was a blast!

Okay, I have to take back what I said in my last blog about Relay for Life. Its not at Butler Park. Here is the info:
Relay takes place June 13th at the West Jordan UT Veterans
Memorial Park, just behind the city building off 7800 S Redwood Rd
I'm pretty sure it starts at 6. The women in charge hasn't given me much information, so as soon as I hear back from her I'll have all the final details. Thanks for your support!

Relay for Life
Its been awhile! I have a lot to post, but for now I will just announce that I will be taking part in "Relay for Life" at Butler Park. I will have a booth there with all my schtuff+some of my families goods. Things I'm selling? Well, breast cancer themed stuff (of course) including some fun cards and t-shirts, and also the usual. (handmade journals, albums, etc.) It'll be a plethora of goodness.
I have felt so guilty, the last couple of days. I've stuck Mae in front of the TV in order to keep her busy while I get it all ready. She plays with her toys, reads, and colors, but when she gets sick of that, in goes "Curious George" or "Meet the Robinsons". Oh well. At least I don't do it EVERY DAY! Its only temporary (keep repeating, keep reapeating)
Here is a card I just designed for the "Breast Cancer Sucks!" line I started last year.

I think its important to have a sense of humor when it comes to hard times. It keeps things in perspective for me.
