30 Strangers

Today my mom and I had our photo session with Justin Hackworth for his "30 Strangers" project. Please take a minute to read about "30 Strangers", and donate if you can! What an amazing cause! We are so honored to be a part of it.

Justin was awesome, and so talented! We had a great time getting to know each other while he snapped away. Jokes were told and stories were shared. He has a gift for making you feel at ease in front of the camera.

Tom and I lived in our first apartment as newlyweds just a few blocks away from his studio, so we walked over there and took some shots in front of it. Such great memories there! It was an old house, built probably in the early 1900's that was converted into 5 apartments. We loved that place. It was so charming, and I love Justin for including that in the photo's!

Memory Monday {MORP}

Aw, the days of high school! I am proud to say, that these were not the greatest days of my life. Meaning, I'm glad my life has just gotten better. Make sense?
MORP was my first dance. Girls choice, halloween time. (my favorite holiday). I asked Sean Overholt who was a super cute football player!*gasp!* (that needs to be said in a valley girl accent). It was a really fun dance. We went as "cops and robbers" and played Lazer Tag after the dance. Good times!
Notice my hair and my red lipstick. I was (and still am) obsessed with the forties. I got some crap for wearing red lipstick, after all, it wasn't "in" at the time. But I didn't care. I felt naked without it.
Oh, and can you believe this was 11 YEARS ago? 11 YEARS PEOPLE! WHERE did the time fly?

Moab and Colorado Trip

A couple weekends ago, we went to Moab/Colorado with my in-laws. It was really fun. I did my first ever mountain biking trip, and I was TERRIFIED at first, but after awhile I got the hang of it. Some of the hills...I'm sorry, CLIFFS were so big I had to walk my bike down quite a few. We biked Slick Rock. It was insane. Then we hiked up to Delicate Arches later that day. The next day, we went to Mesa Verde in Colorado. I was sooo amazed by these communities that were built in cliffs. I'm planning on getting some books from the library to read more about it. Seriously, thats something everyone needs to see before they die.
