Starting preschool can bring on a whole plethora of emotions:

:I think overall she's pretty happy about it, don't you?:

Mae finally got an official haircut since we've been here. Thank goodness. My attempts just weren't cuttin it. (get it? get it?)
Off we went to the lovely Miss Jessica, who keeps my hair lookin' fab.
"Wash your hair, wash your hair! Keep it shiny!"
Why Mae, you look absolutely ravishing in a turban!

Mae was so serious, so Jess made some silly faces to get her to relax.
I just liked her hair..

She's so tiny in that chair!
Not digging the little hairs tickling her face.
Checkin out the final do!
Looks like she approves! Thanks, Jess!

mirror, mirror, on the wall

A mirror passed down to me from my grandmother. Its super heavy and such a beautiful mirror, but I wanted it to be a little less gold.

Mae checking herself out in the mirror after the make over.

i like it. do you?

Artlink

Every Friday there is an art stroll downtown, and we finally got around to doing it. I really like the Gallery Stroll in Salt Lake so I was really excited to get out there and be inspired.
There are four routes you can take, and so we chose one and set off. All of them start off at the Phoenix Art Museum, which had some amazing work. Founds some new favorites like Philip C. Curtis and Charles Bell.

Dinner at Carlys Cafe. Doesn't he look dapper in his new hat?

People watching. It was an interesting crowd, we felt totally out of place!
My reaction to our people watching. There were some WEIRD people. REALLY weird.

This was my favorite piece. Its a roll of toilet paper. I'm going to paint a roll of toilet paper and then hang it in our bathroom. You think I'm kidding, don't you...
