Illustration Friday- "Book"
I worked so many hours on this illustration and I ended up starting over because it wasn't turning out how I would have liked. Then I worked like crazy on the second one, and then it was too late to submit to Illustration Friday.
The topic was "book" and I immediately thought about how a good book takes you to a completely different place, as if you're actually in the story. Then the image of my daughter reading "The Little Mermaid" popped into my head, and this is what I came up with:

Illustration Friday-"Carry"
The topic for this weeks Illustration Friday is "Carry". I thought I'd be clever and put a little twist to it.
"Carrie Carrying Carrie"
BWA HA! Get it? Carrie from the movie "Carrie" is carrying Carrie Fisher, aka Princess Leia.
Well...I thought it was pretty funny....
On a side note, one day I'll purchase a marvelous scanner that won't make my artwork look like total poop.
