Daily Click - Work Space
I spend a large chunk of my day at this desk. Editing photos and videos, posting artwork, taking care of It Works! business, updating my website, paying bills etc.
Above is my goal/dream board.
Desk is antique. Of course...(I never buy new furniture if I can help it).
Macbook is 6 years old and still kickin' it. His name is Gizmo.
It's definitely time for an iMac though. So if you want to send one to me, go right ahead.
I've been blogging for years, and now I am able to make money doing it! Click here.

Ten years
We've been married ten years. It sounds like SUCH A LONG TIME! It has flown and I'm sure every year on our anniversary I'll be in denial, sounding like an old woman flinging my hands in the air and exclaiming,"Where has the time gone!"
I loved our first place together. You can see the inside here.
Anytime we are visiting Utah and get the chance, we drive by it. This last trip I took the kids over and got some shots of them in front of it. So cool.
And when my mom and I did 30 Strangers, Justin's studio was right down the road, so we walked over and got some shots. I think maybe I'll buy this house one day....

kitchen
(cool story about why we live here)
I have a love/hate relationship with this kitchen.
I have a love/hate relationship with this kitchen.
+LOVE the open shelving and the vintage wallpaper.
-HATE the tile. I don't know what the previous owners were thinking. It confuses me. I look down and I'm like,"OH! I'm outside again...."
+LOVE the old fridge. We had to get rid of it a few weeks ago because it was leaking. BOO.
-HATE the lack of counter space. I can slice like...a carrot and then I have to clean up and start on a tomato. It takes me an hour to make a salad.
+LOVE the gas stove!
I bought this box of vintage reading cards a long time ago, and it has a bunch of cute pictures I will eventually frame. For now, masking tape will do.
I love my vintage Coffee tin.
Blurry picture. Found the Song of the Gout at a thrift store. It cracks me up! My good friend Janice painted the ladies on the beach.
The old fridge. I miss it. :(
This window leads out to the laundry room. I thought about getting little curtains, but the I need all the light I can get in the kitchen. So I just deal with the water spots on the window.

It's been SOOO long since I've done any kind of life drawing. I really need the practice, so I drew this lovely lady:
And this is just some dorky drawing I made up as I went.

(Doesn't she have a nice round rumpus?)
My daughter and I were watching one of our favorite movies, "Coraline" and she had the idea to pause it and draw this still shot. (So my daughter. I remember doing that with my friends when we were in grade school during "A Little Mermaid" and they were so annoyed. I still have that drawing, actually) Here is mine:
And hers:
I have to say, for a 5 year old she is a pretty good artist. She has a really cool way of putting colors together, and it was also really creative of her to have Coraline wearing a button shirt. I love how she labeled the witch as "weck".
I drew this at around 2 in the morning. I was just sitting on my front porch and started to draw our neighbors house.
I take the kids to McDonalds once a week so I usually end up sketching whatever is around me, hence the cup. It's a bit wonky on the bottom.
My husband and I are a little obsessed with their sweet teas, half cut. Mmmmm......
And this is just some dorky drawing I made up as I went.
The end!

Natural Cleaning Solution
This is a wonderful home cleaning solution. Non toxic (you can actually eat it! Drink up :), delicious smelling, and best of all, it kills airborne toxins and germs!
I love having a clean house, but I really can't stand the smell of chemical cleaners. They give me a headache and a stomachache, not to mention, they aren't the best thing to breath into our systems.
There are so many benefits to using Essential Oils.
The ingredients for your cleaning solution:
ON GUARD: On Guard is dÅTERRA®'s unique, proprietary blend formulated to support healthy immune function. Wild orange essential oil, combined with clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus and rosemary offer a fragrant, natural and effective alternative to synthetic options for immune support. On Guard, with its unique aroma, is one of our most versatile blends. It is also safe to use on counter tops, as a non-toxic way to cleanse surfaces, or to purify the atmosphere by diffusing. On Guard is superb for eliminating and controlling pathogens due to the potency of its constituents. For aromatic, topical, or dietary use.
LEMON: Another favorite, this essential oil powerhouse is cold-pressed from lemon rinds to preserve its delicate nature and potent properties. Lemon is known as a powerful aromatic, topical, and internal cleanser that can be used to complement many other oils. Diffusing lemon in a room can cleanse the air and uplift mood. It can also be used on surfaces throughout the home as a non-toxic cleaning booster. For aromatic, topical or dietary use.
Combine 8 oz water with 2 drops On Guard and 2 drops Lemon. Safe for all surfaces. I use this to clean my kids toys, which my 8 month is constantly putting in his mouth. I like knowing that I can clean his toys and he can play with them safely without ingesting any harmful chemicals.
